Chess Academy Shahh and Garde of the name Tigran Petrosian will hold open Christmas charity chess tournaments for children and youth on December 11 and 28 with numerous awards in Tallinn, Armenian News Network reports.

 

The tournaments will take place in age groups from 6 to 19 years, writes LETA.

 

Winners in the four groups of the tournament on December 11 – “Yerevan Cap 2010”, both among boys and girls will receive a reward: cups, certificates and prizes.

 

All participants in the tournament on December 28 will receive commemorative medals and diplomas, while winners in their age groups and prizes from main sponsor – McDonald’s in Estonia.

 

On December 28 a traditional Christmas Tournament “Hedgehog” will take place, which we hold since 2006. The tournament is an unofficial championship of Estonia among pre-school children born in 2004 and younger. Part of the entry fee will be transferred to a charitable fund to support children from poor families.

 

The Chess Academy organizes such charity tournaments since year 2002. The charitity Foundation “Shahh and Garde” was founded in 2002.
